    Reconnecting in today's times

It's always amazing how quickly technology morphs from something so simple into something so elaborate. There once was a time without home computers, and "surfing the net" was something you could only imagine happening at the beach! But now there are computers in every home, shucks, in every CAR for that matter with the invention of 'smart phones'.

But has all this instant technology really helped us reconnect? It seems everywhere you go our contacts have multiple phone numbers, email addresses, websites, networking sites, and it just gets so confusing! While some programmers have attempted to corral all of these sites into one 'easy to use' program, it's still daunting keeping up with who is on which network, which email to send to, which website to visit... so are we really reconnected if we can't figure out which method to connect to our old friends with?

Sometimes perhaps the best 'reconnection' is meeting for lunch or coffee... but leave your 'smart' phone in the car! :0)

    Getting started

Recently the fact was raised that there were many classmates that did not get invitations to SFHS reunions... even though their families still live in Alachua County. This is unnecessary roughness in today's technology and internet-soaked age.

So, here is another blogspot. Not sure what to do with it or if it will help, but the hope is that the more information on the 'net, the more searchability and therefore more contacts for class reunions.

There are several links posted to some sites involving SFHS reconnection. Each site bears responsibility for the content therein and is not the responsibility of this blog's authors.
